How Health Insurance "Works"

Frustrated with Health Insurance?? I am too!!

Health insurance in the United States is complicated!  I'm an insurance agent, and most times I'm surprised at how complicated these policies are to the public, plus the LACK of instructions, communication and willingness to help their clients, and us agents these companies are.

I've been in the insurance world for over 17 years now, and actively working with health insurance for the past 5 years.  Always a field of insurance I wanted it to keep it untouched and away from me, but after many clients struggled finding a good professional and many asked me for help, I decided to get into it.  What a nightmare decision that was!  Us clients (me included) we are always unhappy, and paying a fortune for something we not always get.

I can only say this for the State of Florida, as my agency is active in Florida.  For the last few years insurance have been getting worst and worst, as we have fewer options to chose from and the premiums are sky rocketing out of control.  Most companies made the decision to leave Florida all together, due to no profit.  The ones who decided to stay, pretty much claim "we are lucky to have them still".  The way things are going, we'll be praying for a miracle to happen in the near future to have our health insurance in place.

As many of my clients complain to me day-in day-out of their plans, plus all the mistakes companies constantly do; as I watched this video of a man trying to simply get an estimate from his insurance company the cost of his son's birth, all the trouble and difficulties he went through... I decided to post it here, to make it clear how bad all companies are, that it's not your insurance agent's fault, and that hopefully ONE DAY this will change for the BETTER!  Let's hope together!

And YES, this is not just for a delivery, it's EVERY SINGLE PROCEDURE you'll need to have your insurance pay for.  Let's not get started on the ADMITTED or NOT ADMITTED  the hospitals play around too, to make our lives more difficult!  (that's another blog to write about)

So watch this video!
